Vanessa & Derek definitely had a candle theme at their wedding - when Vanessa, Derek, and I did their final walk through before the wedding, Vanessa handed me boxes of candles, some tea lights, some votives, some hanging votives, and gave us permission to do what we wanted with them. Sweet! I am thankful to Nick for capturing some of the amazing lighting detail of the day:
We hung these votives in the trees that lined the outdoor reception tables
These tea lights lined the inside lounge (otherwise known as the dance floor)
The amazing centerpieces by Pot and Box were surrounded by candles
Another nice detail that Vanessa incorporated into her wedding was to have "kids" tables. These tables were covered with butcher paper and had crayons, markers, paper, and pens, for the kids to write and draw all over the tables with. I love the photo below of the crayons neatly set up prior to being attacked by the children :)
