Birthday Celebrations!

Since today is my birthday it has started me thinking about holidays and weddings. Has anyone been invited or gone to a wedding that has taken place on a holiday? Or on your birthday? We'd love to hear any stories out there!


The planner in me is already planning Kennedy's first birthday party in June - some ideas? Since we call her our "peanut" I was thinking of doing a peanut butter & jelly bar for the kids where we line up jelly, pb, nutella, bananas, and bread and let the kids make their own sandwiches. For the adults, we would do chicken satay, which is made with a peanut sauce along with some side dishes that are not so peanut intense ;) Any other ideas out there?
